Summit 1202 is dedicated to fostering a love for the outdoors through community hikes, youth outdoor experiences, and stewardship of local trails and natural spaces. Shared experiences on the trail and preserving natural spaces are important.

We create opportunities for individuals of all ages and experience levels to explore the beauty of local trails, learn new skills. This promotes physical well-being and social connection, builds self-confidence, and helps preserve the places that make our communities special. This includes the Summit 1202 Youth Outdoors summer camp, which provides outdoor learning, adventure, and enrichment for youth in our community.

Why Support Matters

Donations are essential to sustaining the mission and expanding reach within the community. Contributions allow the group to:

  • Offer free guided hikes, ensuring financial barriers don't prevent anyone from experiencing the benefits of hiking.

  • Provide essential equipment like trekking poles or first-aid kits, and camp supplies.

  • Fund trail maintenance projects and volunteer support.

  • Develop educational programs that teach responsible hiking and environmental stewardship, and outdoor safety.

  • Strengthen the Summit 1202 Youth Outdoors Summer Camp by supporting activity materials, outdoor learning tools, safety equipment, and scholarships for families who need financial assistance.

How to Help

Every contribution makes a difference in serving the community and protecting the trails.

  • One-time Donation: A one-time gift helps meet immediate needs, engaging the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts, protecting the places we love, providing camp scholarships, ensuring outdoor opportunities for all, sponsoring a special community hike.

  • Recurring Donation: Consider joining the Summit 1202 Monthly Giving Program to provide sustained support that helps plan for future program, stewardship projects, and summer camp initiatives.

  • In-Kind Donations: We welcome gently used hiking gear, outdoor equipment, or supplies. camp materials, or trail tools that directly benefits both the community programs and Summit 1202 Youth Outdoors. Please contact the group if there are items that could benefit it.
